Greetings, Internet Stranger, and welcome to the Tirana best hotels. Tirana, Albania is very underrated as a tourist destination. There’s a ton of interesting things to see and do in Albania’s capital city. But of course, if you’re visiting there, you’ll need a great place to stay.

That’s where this list comes in! I’ll show you all the Tirana best hotels that I know, so you can relax and have an amazing time on your Albanian vacation!

Tirana Best Hotels

1) Prime Hotel

One of the best things about visiting Tirana is that it’s an extremely affordable city. That’s why I was so excited to find the Prime Hotel at an amazing price, and why I think it’s one of the Tirana best hotels. The rooms are pretty small, but for a solo traveler like myself, this size was all I needed.

And look how charmingly the staff set up my towel! It was just like a butterfly!

Also, I got a massive breakfast every morning, which you can see in my photo above. There was yogurt, coffee, a plethora of baked goods, and really anything a person could wish for.

2) Hotel Theatro–City Centre

I would strongly recommend staying in the City Center when you are staying in Tirana. It will be within walking distance of most of the major attractions and restaurants that you’re going to want to see. Because of Tirana’s complicated history, there are many different architectural styles and fascinating public squares.

Of course, if you have your own car, it’s different because you can stay in a more remote neighborhood. But I didn’t find that having a car in Tirana was necessary.

All this is to say that one reason the Hotel Theatro–City Centre is such a great choice for a hotel and definitely one of the Tirana best hotels is that it has a perfectly central location. It is a less than ten minute walk from Skanderbeg Square, which is the main square in town, where the history museum and the famous carousel are located. You’ll be within walking distance of everything if you stay here.

On top of that, there is an excellent continental breakfast included every morning. You are really going to get into the habit of breakfasting like an Albanian if you stay at one of the Tirana best hotels.

There are plenty of other amenities at this fine hotel, like a 24 hour front desk, free wifi, and a luggage storage space, in case you want to go out exploring before your room is ready or after you check out. There is also a nice television in your room, though I never use those because I would rather go out exploring.

The hotel will help arrange an airport shuttle service for you, which is convenient, though the airport is just about ten miles away from the hotel. Finally, there is air conditioning in the rooms, which isn’t always guaranteed in Europe. What more could you want?

3) Rooftop Tirana

There are a surprising number of classy and glamorous hotels in Tirana, and Rooftop Tirana is no exception. This hotel also has a perfect location, right in the middle of all the tourist attractions. But that doesn’t mean that it’s crowded and full of tourists. Part of the fun of visiting an underrated city like Tirana is that it’s never TOO crowded.

As you can probably tell from the name Rooftop Tirana, this place has spectacular views of the city. This is just an additional reason why this is one of the Tirana best hotels. Some of the rooms even have balconies, but not all of them do, so try to reserve a room with a balcony in advance if that is important to you. It can be a little tricky to find the hotel because there’s no clear sign, but once you get there, get ready to have tons of fun!

In my hometown New York City, a hotel of this quality would be so expensive. I could never afford to stay in a place like this. However, in Tirana, it is quite practical and affordable. That’s one of the things that makes it such an excellent city to visit!

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and they will assist you in finding the best restaurants in the area. I didn’t have a car, but if you do have a car, they can help you find parking with only a very small per day charge. The rooms are clean and comfortable, especially the mattresses. I’m sure you’ll find it to be one of the Tirana best hotels too.

4) Senator Hotel

I am not entirely sure why this hotel is called the Senator Hotel. Have any famous senators stayed here? The Washington Senators defunct baseball team, perhaps? Have any famous senators even been to Albania?

Well, the name aside, this is really an excellent hotel and definitely one of the Tirana best hotels. One thing that is special about this hotel and also a little bit unusual is that it offers free parking. The streets in downtown Tirana are not big and parking can be at a premium. So if you have your own car with you while you are in Tirana, this might be perfect for you.

Also, this hotel has hairdressers, in case you need a trim while you are traveling. I have bangs, so this service is very useful for me. Obviously, you will have to pay to use the hairdressers, but I think it’s worth the money.

The location is very convenient, just like all the other best Tirana hotels that are located in the city center. You’ll be within walking distance of the art gallery, the Enver Hoxha pyramid, and many other interesting sights.

The rooms are clean and comfortable, which is obviously the first thing that we look for when we choose a hotel. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Also, there is an excellent breakfast every morning, which means you’ll have one less thing to worry about each day when you’re planning your itinerary. Just another reason this is one of the Tirana best hotels.

5) Areela Boutique Hotel

Before trying to find the Tirana best hotels, I had no idea that there even were boutique hotels in the city. To be honest, I hadn’t thought about Tirana much at all. That’s why I was so excited to find the Areela Boutique Hotel.

Like other hotels that I recommend in Tirana, this hotel is in the city center. It’s just a short walk from Skanderbeg Square, which is the main square in town, named after the Albanian military hero. (PS. Skanderbeg is a very fun name to say.)

This hotel has a lot of free features like wifi, a 24 hour front desk, air conditioning, umbrellas to borrow in case you don’t have one when it rains, a delicious breakfast every morning and more. The breakfast comes with traditional baked goods and fresh fruit and juices, so it’s a great way to start the day.

But it also has some fun upgrades, like laundry service or room service, which will of course be an additional fee. I sometimes find it convenient to have laundry service at my hotel, especially if I’m on the road for weeks at a time. Perhaps you feel the same way, and if so, that will be a good reason to select this hotel.

The staff is extremely friendly and will give you all the advice you need to enjoy the city. That’s why this is one of the Tirana best hotels. They’ll also help arrange transport to the airport if you need that as well. (You’ll have to pay the taxi yourself, though, of course!)

6) Triss Hotel

The list of Tirana best hotels just never stops, does it? Who knew there was such an embarrassment of riches when it comes to finding the best Albanian hotels? Up next, we’ve got the Triss Hotel.

This hotel is only ten minutes away from Skanderbeg Square, which is the center of absolutely everything in Tirana. The rooms have air conditioning, wifi, and a free coffee machine, which is an amenity that I always appreciate. There’s nothing quite like being able to wake up in the morning and make yourself a cup of coffee right away.

The hotel has been renovated recently, so the rooms and the lobby are in good shape. Just keep in mind that there is no elevator. European countries don’t have the same laws about accessibility that we do in the United States, so there aren’t always working elevators.

The hotel also has several other features that you will have to pay more for, but they will add to your trip in terms of convenience. They have a tour desk in the lobby, so if you want to book a tour during your time in Tirana, you can go ahead and do that here.

They also have a restaurant and a bar on the premises, which is nice, especially if your flight gets into Tirana on the later side and you just want to be able to grab a quick dinner without having to run around looking for a restaurant.

7) Hotel Stela Center

We’ve got yet another incredibly conveniently located hotel in Tirana with Hotel Stela Center. Is this hotels within walking distance of Skanderbeg Square? You bet your sweet bippy!

This hotel has all the amenities that you’ve come to expect from the Tirana best hotels. There’s free wifi as well as a 24 hour front desk, in case you need any help during your time in Tirana. A free and yummy breakfast is also included with the price of the hotel. (It seems that it’s more unusual to find a hotel in Tirana that doesn’t include breakfast.)

The hotel also has its own restaurant and they serve Greek food as well as Albanian food, just in case you are in the mood to try something a little bit different. They also have their own rose garden, which is something that you will not find in every single hotel in Tirana, and you can have your breakfast there if you wish. I can’t think of a nicer way to start the day, personally.

Some of the rooms in the Tirana best hotels can be quite tiny, but the rooms at this hotel are large and comfortable. The staff is extremely friendly and available, and they will help you find the best attractions to visit in Tirana or the best restaurants or how to get to the airport or basically anything else you could want.

8) Lot Boutique Hotel

This is the last of our Tirana best hotels, but do not worry! We are still staying in the city center for this one. I am not recommending any hotels behind the Tirana airport. And the Lot Boutique Hotel might just be the most posh of the lot.

Is this hotel within walking distance of Skanderbeg Square? AHAHAHA! Foolish mortal. Do you even have to ask? (The answer is yes.) Is there a delicious breakfast included with the price of the room? The answer is obviously also yes.

The staff could not be nicer and more helpful. They will arrange an airport shuttle service for you for a small additional fee. All you have to do is ask. There is naturally a 24 hour desk and free wifi in all of the rooms. The wifi is quite fast, which is not always the case in Albanian hotels. That’s one reason I say this is one of the Tirana best hotels.
