The tour lasts between five and nine hours, depending on how much you choose to do. You can add on the USS Memorial, which is definitely worth it, as well as the fascinating Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum.

The most significant sight, which is included with all the Pearl Harbor tours, is the USS Arizona Memorial, to those who lost their lives on this craft in the Pearl Harbor attack. This is a powerful experience, so be prepared to be silent and respectful.

Lunch is not included with the tour, but you will have an opportunity to buy lunch. One thing to keep in mind is that bags are not allowed at the Pearl Harbor Memorial so you might need to check a bag when you get there, which is easy to do.

On the way to Pearl Harbor, you will be able to see the unique Hawaii State Capitol building and the Punchbowl National Cemetery, where veterans of the Pacific Theater in World War II are buried. This tour is an extremely fun and easy way to see Pearl Harbor and all of Hawaii.

I personally think it’s worth paying a bit extra for the tour just to get the logistics taken care of. That’s especially true if you want to visit the USS Arizona Memorial because there are limited spots available on the boat that takes you to the Memorial, and those tickets sometimes sell out.

What makes this tour take less time is that you will not have time to head over to the USS Missouri. So if you want to explore a real and very historically important battle ship, then book one of the full length tours instead.

However, you will have time to explore the Pearl Harbor area and the movies and museums there, most of which are included with the tour. There is a ton to see here, and there is even a shop with some excellent souvenirs at every price point.

If you want to pay a little bit extra and see the submarine museum, you should have time to do that. (The guide will not need to buy that ticket for you; you can just go ahead and do it at the museum.) However, if you hate waking up early, this will not be the tour for you. This tour lasts for six hours, which means that you should have time to see everything that you would like to see.

This tour does offer hotel pick up and drop off to certain hotels, so give them the info about your hotel, and they will give you the pick up and drop off time.

As with the other tours, you should be able to see the USS Arizona and the USS Missouri on this tour. So if you want to see the USS Arizona, the USS Missouri, and the submarine museum all in one tour, this is the tour for you.

This tour offers hotel pick up and hotel drop off from all Waikiki hotels. (I personally loved staying in Waikiki because it was right in the middle of everything, and it was super convenient.) However, because of the rules about parking and pick ups, they might not be able to stop at your exact hotel, though it will be somewhere close by.

This tour lasts for about eight hours, which makes it one of the longest tours that I recommend. That’s because it includes the USS Arizona, the USS Missouri, the submarine museum, AND the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum.

The tour leaves pretty early in the morning so that you will have enough time to see all of the attractions included with the tour. You will also get a driving tour of the city of Honolulu included with the tour. That will include a drive through the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific.

Like most of the other tours that I recommend, they offer Waikiki hotel pick up and drop off, although they might not be able to pick up and drop off at your very exact hotel.

The driver will prepare you for everything you are about to see as you drive over to the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center. You won’t have lunch included with the price of the tour, but there are places to get lunch at Pearl Harbor, so I suggest bringing money to buy food there. The food truck by the USS Missouri is the best choice.

7) Private Pearl Harbor Tour

All of the other tours I have suggested are small group or large group tours, but this tour is the only private tour I recommend as one of the best Pearl Harbor tours in Honolulu. If you want to have a truly personalized experience, this is the tour for your group.

This tour will last about four to five hours. There will be hotel pick up and drop off at your actual hotel because you will be the only group on the tour! Couldn’t make more sense than that. You also get some extra perks like bottled water and snacks included with the tour.

The tour guide won’t tour you around Pearl Harbor, which is true for all the other Pearl Harbor tours in Honolulu. However, your guide will take care of reserving your spot at the USS Arizona Memorial, which you are guaranteed to be able to visit on this tour.

You won’t have time to see the USS Missouri on this tour, so if that is important to you, you should probably select another tour. However, if you want that personalized attention, this is the tour for you.

This tour is a little different from some of the other Pearl Harbor tours in Honolulu because you will also get to stop at Iolani Palace, which is the only royal residence in the United States, as well as the Hawaii State Capitol building. There are so many hotels to choose from for your 24 hours in Honolulu, but I recommend the Hilton Garden Inn Waikiki Beach. It’s one of the most affordable places to stay that I found in Honolulu, but it still has an excellent location and great amenities.

They have a coffee machine in the room, which wasn’t the case in every hotel I tried in Hawaii, wifi, and they’re right within walking distance of the beach.
