New Orleans Schedule Saints 2023-2024

Sept 10: New Orleans Saints host the Tennessee Titans

This will be opening week, so it’s going to sell out way in advance, even though the Saints aren’t coming off a highly successful season last year. New Orleans loves the Saints even when they don’t play their best.

If you’re looking for something to eat before or after the game, of course you can always get some hot dogs and fries at the Superdome. However, I prefer to get something a little more local and delicious.

In Nashville, they are proud of their hot chicken sandwiches, but I say they can’t compete with a po’boy! Show your New Orleans pride by getting a po’boy at a great local place. I recently got a delicious seafood po’boy at the St. Roch Market. And of course, it’s even better with a side of Zapp’s chips!

Sept 18: New Orleans Saints at Carolina Panthers

The Panthers and the Saints are both NFC South teams, which means these games will be especially intense. (Not quite as intense as a Saints-Falcons game, but what is?)

The Panthers play in Charlotte, North Carolina, and while I haven’t spent a ton of time in Charlotte, I do know that my favorite thing in the city is getting a Bojangles chicken biscuit. They are crispy and delicious!

If you need a hotel in Charlotte, I recommend the AC by Marriott. This hotel is comfortable, affordable, and has a great and central location.

Sept 24: New Orleans Saints at Green Bay Packers

So, I’m pretty impressed by any Saints fans who are heading all the way to Green Bay to see the Saints play. But keep in mind that even though Wisconsin can get very cold, the weather will probably be mild and pleasant in Green Bay in September, though it will still be muggy and hot in New Orleans.

As you can see by my photo above, Green Bay Packers fans can get truly rabid in their fandom. I mean, I have seen a lot of Saints signs in New Orleans, but I haven’t quite seen anyone paint their whole house in Saints colors, like this Green Bay fan did with the Packers colors.

This game won’t be as intense as the Panthers game because the Packers aren’t in the NFC South and their big rival is the Minnesota Vikings. So just don’t show up wearing purple or big yellow braids and you should have a good time in Green Bay.

Oct 1: Saints Host Tampa Bay Buccaneers

As you can see from my photo above, we are back at the Superdome, hosting another NFC South rival. Hopefully our long national nightmare is over and Tom Brady is not playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers anymore this year. (He isn’t supposed to be, but I personally don’t trust any Tom Brady related information.)

This game won’t sell as fast as Opening Day, but they will still be pretty popular, so don’t delay in buying your tickets, especially if you want to follow the New Orleans schedule Saints 2023-2024.

Oct 8: Saints at New England Patriots

Those of you who are attending a Patriots away game while you follow the New Orleans schedule Saints 2023-2024 are quite lucky because you’ll be heading to Massachusetts in October. That means you can peep some gorgeous leaves while you watch the Saints take on the Patriots.

The Patriots actually play in Foxboro, which is a 45 minute drive outside of Boston. You can also get there by train from either Boston or Providence if the Patriots are playing a home game that day. So I suggest getting a hotel in Boston and then heading up there rather than trying to get a hotel in Foxboro.

If you need a place to stay, try the YOTEL, which has a reasonable price and a great location. Why is it called the YOTEL? I’ll never tell!

Again, Saints-Patriots isn’t a huge rivalry, so I don’t think all the hotels in Boston will be full, but it’s still a popular time of year to visit the city, Patriots aside, because of the whole leaf peeping thing.

Oct 15: New Orleans Saints at Houston Texans

So, this is a pretty easy city to visit from New Orleans for a quick sports related trip. You can even get to Houston from New Orleans by driving. (It’s about five hours away.) The weather will be pretty similar to the weather in New Orleans. You can even find good crawfish and good Vietnamese food in Houston, just like you can in New Orleans!

Since the game is on Sunday, and NRG Stadium is not far from attractions like the Houston Zoo or the Museum of Fine Arts, you might want to make a whole fun Houston weekend of it.

October 19: Saints Host Jacksonville Jaguars

I have never been to Jacksonville, Florida. In fact, I think Jacksonville and San Jose, California are the only two large American cities I haven’t been to. (No, I am not going to look that up.) Fortunately, the Saints are hosting the Jags and not actually playing in Jacksonville, so I don’t have to pretend I know anything about the city.

Actually, pretty much the only thing I do know about Jacksonville is that Jason on The Good Place is from there, and he is a huge fan of the Jaguars. He is also fond of yelling out “BORTLES” at key moments because BORTLES is the name of the Jaguars’ former quarterback.

Sadly, Blake Bortles no longer plays for the Jags, but I recommend yelling his name out at key plays anyway.

Also, you might want to stop at the Who Dat Cafe before the game, which is at 8:15 PM. You can tell the cafe is for Saints fans because of the name.

October 29: New Orleans Saints at Indianapolis Colts

OK, I actually have been to Indianapolis and it’s more fun than you might think. (Is it as fun as New Orleans? AHAHAHAHAHA! No.) I didn’t take a picture of the Colts’ stadium when I was there, so instead please enjoy this picture of an award won by Indiana Pacers’ basketball star Detlef Schrempf because he has a fun name to say.

Indianapolis now has James Beard award winning restaurants, so enjoy some of the local eats while you are in town. (Is the food as good as the food in New Orleans? AHAHAHAHA! No.)

November 5: Saints Host Chicago Bears

OK, here is a case where the Chicago Bears are going to be the ones happy about the change in weather. I mean, November is when Chicago starts to get cold, and in New Orleans it’s when hurricane season has ended, so who wouldn’t rather be in NOLA than Chicago while following the New Orleans schedule Saints?

Some of you might be thinking that people in New Orleans don’t usually say NOLA as much as I do in this post, and that is true. But I’m typing and NOLA is shorter than New Orleans, so I am not going to stop using it.

Chicago is a fun city, but do they have as much kooky street art as New Orleans does? It’s very doubtful.

November 12: New Orleans Saints at Minnesota Vikings

I can hear my fellow Saints fans out there complaining about having to be in Minneapolis in November. And I hear that because I have spent many winters in Minnesota visiting my step-grandparents, and it’s not for the faint of heart or native Louisianian.

But have you heard about this thing called Skyways? Yes, even in cold weather, you can stay inside and wander all over the city and shop. It’s great. They probably won’t sell much Saints gear in Minneapolis, but you can’t have everything.

Do you need a hotel in Minneapolis? Need a large and yet cozy room complete with an ice machine so you can depuff your eyes with fresh cubes every morning? Then The Residence Inn in the Downtown/City Center is for you!

November 26: New Orleans Saints at Atlanta Falcons

OK! This is it! The big away game for any Saints fan. The Saints had a losing season in 2022 but they won both their games against the Falcons, so some Saints fans I know said it wasn’t a total wash.

Atlanta has plenty of fun things to do, from the High Museum of Art to the Botanical Gardens to getting some hot dogs at The Varsity. Just be aware that if you bop all over the ATL in Saints gear, you’re going to get some mean looks.

I’m from New York City, so I’m not going to say anything bad about the Giants. May the best team win!

The Rams’ stadium is actually near the airport, but you might not want to stay in the airport area. But you can get to the Rams by Uber or car–everywhere in LA is pretty spread out and needs a car anyway.

December 31: New Orleans Saints at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

A holiday game at an NFC South rival? That sounds like a non stop thrill ride. I’ve never actually been to Tampa, so instead, I have chosen a photo I took of the Pirates of the Caribbean ride in Orlando, Florida. That seems close enough to me.

January 7: New Orleans Saints Host the Atlanta Falcons.

This is it! The final game of the regular season, and it will be a doozy. Expect to see Falcons fans all over New Orleans, especially in the French Quarter around Canal Street. You will recognize them by their red and black clothes and the shifty look in their eyes.
